I’m interested in geometric abstraction that reflects our vulnerability and uncertainty about ourselves. Color is very important in my paintings. It allows the somewhat familiar forms to become highly personal and subtly eccentric.
Using a minimal vocabulary, I try to merge the synthetic with the natural while exploring the playful side of the “cosmic” in abstract art. It is important, in my work, that the hand is evident, that my paintings are not perfect, – that they stumble and falter, and reflect the joy in being human.
