EFA NORTH FORK RESIDENCY

The EFA North Fork Residency is a solitary retreat for EFA artists to take a break from the city and its distractions and focus on studio work, writing, planning, and/or reflection. The one-month residency is offered in partnership with The Potato Farm Project, an independent studio residency hosted by Vaidehi Kinkhabwala and Dhruv Patel at their Jamesport property. Jamesport, NY is a historic village; the property is walkable to the beach, town center, restaurants and vineyards.

Located on the property of a private residence (on the grounds of an old potato farm in the heart of Long Island wine country), the residency is within walking distance of public transportation, beaches, restaurants, farms and vineyard tasting rooms. Resident artists are encouraged to explore the local communities and commit time to solitary studio work. A car is helpful to explore the area around the residency and visit art communities around the Hamptons, but not necessary.

Facilities include 600 sqft private living space with bedroom, kitchenette with stove, microwave and refrigerator, full bathroom, smart TV with internet, private entrance, parking spot, outdoor leisure/work space. 210 sq ft, studio equipped with electricity, adequate lighting, space heating, table and chair, wireless internet and outdoor sink. There is laundry and a bicycle available to guests.

To qualify, you must be an EFA member or affiliated with an EFA program. Other artists can apply directly to the Potato Farm Project.
