Ball's paintings and installations are slow, meditative works, deeply attentive to time and place. His practice stages what the exhibition calls "competing temporalities," where geological time is enacted through mineral and paint surfaces, while the hum of decommissioned infrastructure situates abstraction within the liminal space between humanity and nature.
