Lise Kjaer

Lise Kjaer is a Danish artist, who lives and works in New York. She received an MFA with Distinction from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Poland, and has exhibited in Denmark, Finland, Germany, Poland, and the United States. Kjaer has been a fellow of NIFCA, a Nordic artist in residency program in Helsinki, Finland; The Danish Art Council’s Residency on Hirsholmen; The Elizabeth Foundations for the Arts’ North Fork Art Residency; The Danish Art Studios, Copenhagen; Hollufgaard Artist Studios, Odense; and The Danish Visual Artists; Berlin Residency Program. She has also received a Ph.D. in Art History from the Graduate Center, The City University of New York, and teaches twentieth century and contemporary art as a full-time tenured Lecturer at the City College of New York.
